Roman

This is my shortest idea that I had, but that doesn't diminish the importance or quality this idea has. It is set in Manchester, UK as that has importance to the story. Hope you like it and tell me what you think.

The Roman

Deep inside forest there is a graveyard and inside that graveyard one of the old graves was beginning to steer, the grave belonged to a roman soldier, as a skeleton hand breaks the earth above it. The hand then begins to grow muscles and then skin as the rest of the roman soldier starts to climb out of the grave. He is disorientated and unsure where he is and so he begins to walk to the streets of Manchester.

He wanders the streets in fascination of the buildings, as he walks people stop and stare thinking he is in cosplay or doing a performance piece. The people intrigue him so much so that he walks into a road without looking, however the oncoming traffic sees him and stops the sight of the car frightens him, as he has never seen a car before and running in the direction of castlefield.

When he arrives at castlefield he sees the ruins of the fort, then sees the information display and reads it. That is when he finds out that everything he ever knew was gone.

The roman breaks down and cries as he thinks about what he has lost before letting out roar of pain before he wields his sword and stabs himself in his abdomen hoping to end his misery however without success so he screams again before he gets up. He then feels weak and looks at his hand and sees that it is decaying he starts to cry with joy.

His whole body decays and turns to dust, there is then a mysterious figure that walks up to the dust pile and says “what a pity the emotional trauma was too much that I can fix for next time”
